TAN CHONG POH co-founded Frontier Danceland in 1991 and is currently Board Chairman. A Public Utilities Board scholar in 1986 and 1992, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering at Nanyang Technological University and his Masters in Science at National University of Singapore. He is a registered professional engineer with Singapore Professional Engineers Board.

Tan had an outstanding career in the arts. He was principal dancer with National Dance Company and performed in ASEAN, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, Belgium and Russia. From 1977 – 1981, he was awarded a scholarship to study classical Ballet at Singapore Ballet Academy. He also completed courses on Arts Administration,, Dance Criticism and Movement Analysis in Hong Kong.

From 1994 – 1996, Tan was appointed a member of the Arts Resource Panel by the National Arts Council. Tan received invitations to be part of the judging panel of Malaysia Chinese Festival of Dance. He is a dance critic for a local Chinese newspaper.

Currently, he is the General Secretary of Singapore Arts Federation.
